MEET YOUR SLP:

Aleece BanJo is founder and owner of Speak-a-bu Speech Therapy, Inc. A graduate of University of California, Irvine and Idaho State University, Aleece has 10+ years as an educator with 7 years working as a speech-language pathologist in schools, clinics, and patients’ homes, either in-person or virtually. She is passionate about working with families and schools to provide highly individualized and culturally inclusive communication services to children and adults.

Aleece’s favorite thing about being an SLP is helping children, adolescents, and adults find their BEST voice in DYNAMIC, ENGAGING, and CREATIVE ways! She has found that students make the best progress when they feel connected to their therapist and are having fun.

Although she loves ALL areas of communication, she especially loves treating speech disorders related to childhood apraxia of speech (CAS), language disorders in neurodivergent populations (e.g., ASD, ADHD), and determining linguistic differences vs. disorders in individuals with linguistically and culturally diverse backgrounds.

On both a personal and professional level, Aleece values her time with her patients, colleagues, friends, and family. She strongly believes that communication, listening, and rapport are essential building blocks to every thriving relationship. One of the reasons Aleece created Speak-a-bu Speech Therapy was to have the time to develop strong rapport with her patients, families, and schools by providing accessible, convenient, and high-quality patient-centered care either in the home or virtually.

Outside of speech and language therapy, Aleece treasures her time spent traveling with her family, learning new languages, watching spooky movies, and drinking LOTS of tea!

I’d love to help you or your child communicate with joy!
